Winter Review

When we looked for a place to spend a relaxing break away after the Christmas festivities but that would also allow us to celebrate New Year in style, little did we know that we had found the perfect place at The Boathouse. The accommodation is amazing, with everything that you may need during your stay. The location is stunning, with boats moored right outside your window, the birds and the tides creating an ever changing & fascinating picture for you to watch. The town has everything that you need and the people are the friendliest we have ever met. We arrived during some of the worst storms the north have seen for many years, so we decided that we would park the cars up for the week and make the most of what Kirkcudbright and the Boathouse had to offer and we were not disappointed. The Boathouse has ample room for 3 couples, with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 2 lounges & a dining room to seat 8, patio and balcony on the waterside. All up to a high standard and there is plenty of space for your party to eat together or alternatively find a corner to escape to sit and read. Plenty of places to eat out and some great bars to have a drink in after a long walk. All in all, a perfect holiday destination that we would highly recommend.
